Brooke Shields commiserates with Drew Barrymore after feeling ‘taken advantage of’ by Barbara Walters

Brooke Shields revisited a moment in her past where she felt “taken advantage of” by respected journalist, Barbara Walters.

During an appearance on the “Drew Barrymore Show,” Shields and Barrymore both praised Walters for her work, but also addressed how their one-on-one interviews with the ABC News anchor came about when they were young stars.

In 1981, after her infamous Calvin Klein ad sparked controversy, Walters interviewed Shields, now 57, about her body. He was only 15 at the time. In the ad, Shields says, “You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing.”

Shields said in his interview with Walters, “He asked me what my values were. And he asked me to stand up.”

This is not the first time Shields has criticized Walters. In 2021, he spoke with Dax Shepard in an episode of his podcast “The Armchair Expert,” where Shepard explained that the interview with Walters was “crazy,” to watch today.
