Lindsay Lohan reacts to ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter’s death

Lindsay Lohan has paid tribute to her ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter, who died on Saturday aged 34.

“My heart goes out to his family and may he rest in peace,” the “Falling for Christmas” star, 36, told “Entertainment Tonight.”

“And God bless him…” he added. “And yes, just [a] lots of love there.”

In a separate “Access Hollywood” interview, Lohan shared that she cherished “a lot” of memories during her relationship with Carter in the early 2000s.

The “Aaron’s Team (Come Get It)” singer first saw Lohan soon after she and co-star Hilary Duff put a pause on their budding romance.

During a 2005 interview with CNBC’s “The Big Picture with Donny Deutsch,” Carter explained how her unresolved feelings for Duff, now 35, created a difficult situation involving Lohan.

For his part, Duff spoke about Carter’s sudden death on Saturday.

“To Aaron – I’m so sorry that life was so hard for you and you had to struggle in front of the whole world,” alum “Lizzie McGuire” wrote on Instagram this weekend.

“You had a charm that worked perfectly…my boy loved you deeply.”

Duff concluded her message by telling Carter to “rest easy” and “sending love” to her grieving loved ones.

Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, struggled with addiction and family trauma in the last years of his life. He was found dead in the bathtub of his California home.

“Aaron worked hard towards the end of his life recovering, being a good father and fixing his family,” his rep told Page Six after the heartbreaking news.
